I enjoyed reading your journey into the minds of the hummingbirds/moths. I too have the God-given gift of telepathy. I have been aware of it for the past four decades or so. I used to try to turn it off (and still do to an extent) with people. The things they are thinking is not particularly wholesome, to say the least. So, while it certainly is a gift, I find it a curse when it comes to people. Frankly, they don't want someone to know what they think. Even my wife of almost six decades sometimes finds it hard to have any privacy, as it relates to me knowing what she is thinking spontaneously as she thinks it. I try to give her a break, as much as possible in that regard.

Anyway, thanks for the enjoyable story, and it is nice to know others have the gift.

In the guide to safety around dogs, although I see that it states that dog owners are among the target audience, I don’t see the caution: “Owners, don’t allow your dog to approach strangers unless the person initiates the contact.” Too many dog owners operate by the Book of the Month Club plan, putting the onus on others to decline being up close with their dog: You get it unless you say no.
